8 ft. pair $2,000.00 pr.
Now that quality. Makes me wanna rush out and buy a few pairs. I'll rewire my front driver's side speaker with a 12ft. pair, and maybe in a few years I'll be able to afford another set for the right front speaker.

I did a test when I was in college with the audio society, and no one could tell a pair of $2800 Kimbers from the 12AWG zip cord. I quit worrying about it after that night
Kimber 8VS does look a helluva lot cooler than zip cord tho.

give me your money man, I'll make your car sound way better than those cables will and I'll treat you to a few rounds of beers. I'm no expert, but I do work in the electronics field, I started in the Navy learning telecomm and some radar, I work with laser measurment equipment now. Again, I'm not the master of all that is electronic, but I know enough to look at those ads and laugh and laugh....someone has the right idea though, I'm laughing with them! Check out another post about this, it got a little ugly, I may have taken things a little too far all in good fun, but dpaton had a great answer. In the end, it comes down to the installer and the quality of the equipment, wire is wire unless it is some seriously sh*tty wire.

These products exist becasue there are people out there who can, and do buy them. I mean hell if they can sell one pair of these cables, thats comparable to 100 regular cables sold. PeoIt just makes it obvious how discustingly rich some people in this country are...

yeah . Its sad to hear that 90% of the USA's money is in the hands of approx 3% of the whole population. Bill gates for example. Bastard! ------------- 2003 Chevy Avalanche,Eclipse CD7000,Morel Elate 5,Adire Extremis,Alpine PDX-4.150, 15" TC-3000, 2 Alpine PDX-1.1000, 470Amp HO Alt.

Hey, it's all relative in the end. You keep what you earn and in defense of Bill Gates.... if you help develope the next operating system, you too can buy these cables . ------------- Jeff

One of my distributors called me and was trying to sell me some higher end power cable for car audio. He then proceeded to tell me about the"skinning" effect and multi-stranded cable.I began to laugh at him and tried to explain that it doesn't happen with direct current. He kept insisting that it did untill I told him that I also taught AC and DC theory at a local college. Then he told me not to tell other dealers cause it would kill his high margin sales.

I would hope even Bill Gates isnt so retarded to pay $2,000 for a pair of speaker cables. I dont care how much money you have. A fool and his money are soon parted.

Wow!!! Now all left to do is to build subs for $100000 and amps for about the same amount and I will jump right on it and pair them up together!!!!!

I'll agree w/ Velocity Motors bout Bill Gates. If I had been around w/ him and developed windows then I would be that filthy rich and could buy these cables. But still one man (or even a family, dang) w/ that much money. It's rediculous. Speaking of some dumb people. I've got a friend that put his bedroom slipper up on ebay. Now get this, it's a norman wal-mart left foot slipper. Nothing special about it at all. The guy is your everyday Joe Schmoe. He said that it was "ultra-rare" b/c only he had worn it. It's now sold for $100. No mistake one-hundred dollars. And he advertised it as is, a worn, smelly, left-foot slipper. Sold for $100. Crazy huh? I wonder if my dog's old chew bone will do even half that good? Hm....

Even if i was as rich as bill gates, i don't think i WOULD buy cables for that much! Granted, he might have billions of dollars, but if i had billions of dollars, i think i'd still pinch my pennies; as for that wal-mart slipper, how long ago was this? i would LOVE to see the ad to it! ------------- S-One

If I had bought a set of $60000 ATC home speakers and a $50000 Griffen amp running through a $15000 Lexicon Preamp and using $7500 Esotaric Cd Player thats got my $7500 Fulcrum DAC then I would have no problem speanding that kinda money, and more on cable as long as they can A/B it and prove to me its better. I am lucky to live in a place with a shop that actually sells this stuff and has a showroom where I can hear it, and even more lucky to know the owner. The carry cabling worth a whole hell of a lot more than that and some of it does make a difference, some of it doesnt sounds any better than my 200-300 monster cable, so make your own choices. BTW if anyone wants to check these guys out they have a web site www.canadianhifi.com, it has some off thier product but not their Ultra High end stuff. And before you ask, they sell a ton of this stuff. ------------- double-secret reverse-osmosis speaker-cone-induced high-level interference distortion, Its a killer

Yeah I printed the page off. I'll try and get a scaned copy of the info product page. Ended up going for $100ish. I love America. Peole will pay anything if you convince them that it's "rare" or "priceless". If people pay that for a slipper I wonder what they will pay for an actual shoe?

It's funny you guys bring this topic up. I was just reading a catalog I got in the mail yesterday and they had some speaker wire that was really expensive like that. It consisted of two thin, long ribbons of copper, each seperated with an ugly plastic wrapping (think clear MC Hammer pants). They called it planar wire, or something like that. I will see about getting a link when I get home. My favorite though are the little tripod things that raise the speaker wire off the floor. Apparently the static electricity in the carpet effects the signal going through the wire. Although why they are moving their speaker wire back and forth across the carpet while listening to music in the first place is beyond me. Here's another great one: https://www.referenceaudiomods.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=NOB_C37_C&Category_Code=VOLUME&Product_Count=2 I think it would be fun to try to sell to those people one of those benies with the propeller on top and tell them that while it is spinning it equalizes the sound pressure on each side of their head, giving a much larger sweet spot for their speaker system. I could also claim it makes Doppler distortion inaudible, as well any delay in sounds from phase issues within 3 miliseconds of eachother sound like one event. While I dont share everyones opinion on monster cables, those wooden knobs are funny as hell. And if the knobs cause micro vibrations, why not just take the knobs off completly and eliminate the source for any vibration? Silly people

Ok, here's that link to those speaker wires: https://www.mapleshaderecords.com/tweaks/omegamikro.php And here's an overly expensive power cord that is ugly: https://www.mapleshaderecords.com/tweaks/powercord.php Here's those cable lifts: https://www.mapleshaderecords.com/tweaks/cablelifts.php Maybe that "dull" sound is the stuff they are listening to and not from induced noises.
