Hi guy's,

Does anyone here have any experience with Hifonics amps. Particularly the Brutus Series. Are they true one their wattage ratings or just another over rated amp?

Dont get me started with HiFonics, I'll talk them up for hours! They're the best mono amplifiers I've ever played with (ok, maybe not the best but for the price they are). My friend has a setup (well, when the cars working) with a HiFonics pushing 3 Sony P5 10's at 1 Ohm, and this thing will push them all day long w/o any problems. A+++++ rating from me.

I am mainly looking for SQ and not spl. I am looking to run 2 MTX 8104's with it and they are power hungry so I need some decent wattage to power them.

Havent messed with Hi Fonics in a while but if thier as good as they use to be , they should be able to still perform for sq and spl.

They are most definitely NOT as good as they used to be. They might not be 'bad'...but can't even compare to series VII and VIII.
