Anybody have any experience with the Alpine Type R series components ? I've been looking at alot of different components lately and so far the JL audio VR and XR series sound the best for the money. I was wondering about the Type R's because I have never had the oppurtunity to hear them in person. I have also been thinking about building my system up to SQL competition grade ? Any ideas on that, like speaker wise or worth while wise ? ------------- Fortune: You will continue to take chances, and be glad you did.

Also make sure that your mounting depth can support the Type-R's or the Type-X's because they require deep mounts for proper installation.

i noticed the type-r's tweeters were not very bright. they sound very natural which for me is great be some customers want a bright, in-your-face tweeter. that mid is big. oofff.
