i know we get a lot of posts complaining about dealerships screwing us over, but I had to vent.

we installed a handsfree kit in a 01 tahoe about 6 months ago. the 4x4 service light came on so the customer took it in to get it looked at. after 4 times at the dealership, they finally called in a "gm specialist". He says we tapped into a 4x4 wire and caused the problem. funny thing is, we tapped into the ignition harness, and the dealership disconnected it, then reconnected it to a different spot. the connection they made has contiuitty to ours, so basically they hooked it up exactly how we did. They're trying to pin a $1700 claim on us. I'm so pissed right now.

I dont believe too many people if any at all at the dealerships are MECP certified. They might be GM certified but that covers the entire vehicle when mobile one MECP specializes in one thing , Car Audio electronics. They should be asking you how to fix it.
