high level input went wrong, amp help?

it might sound kind of  confusing...my system is using a stock deck, so i tapped high level inputs to the subs.  i got new speakers, and i had this rockford fosgate 900 watt, 300 rms, 2 channel amp, so i hooked that up using a line output converter from the front speakers.  i was lazy so i tapped this all behind the deck and not at the speaker.  there happens to be a blue wire exactly the same size and color as the negative lead to the front right speaker.  this wire was the power wire to the deck. so i had cut this and thinking it was the speaker, tapped the end to the deck to the line converter, and thinking that the other side of the wire was going to the speaker and not the battery, ran that wire to the negative output of the right channel of the amp.  when i hooked this up, the amp obviously turned on i saw the indicator light.  the amp was getting power from the pwer wire into the negative channel, and it was already grounded.  i assumed that somehow the capacitor i had hooked up was giving it some juice, but it couldnt have been, the power wire wasnt hooked up yet(this was around 330 in the morning).  when i did hook up the power wire and turned it all on, the right side speakers ( which was recieving a positve output to its negative terminals) , buzzed for like 4 seconds, then popped, then the connection where  the battery output met the negative terminal output sparked.  so i figured this out after when i saw that the blue wires were hooked wrong, and set it back up right.  I hoped nothing was wrong and used a couple test speakers to the amp, they worked kind of messily on the left channel, but sparked when i would hook up the right channel, then it popped the speaker.  The next speaker i tried bridging the right negative(damaged terminal), to the left positive, and it still popped.  if you understand this and know if it can be fixed, it would greatly be appreciated...

i have no idea what u just said. can u clear up the part about what wires u connected wrong, i understood all the rest.

You'll have to pull that amp out and send it for repair.  Make sure you label all the wires before installing again.

can someone who actually knows what is wrong with the amp twll me something? obviously it needs to be repaired, im telling you that by posting this forum....

You probably blew your output transisters but NO ONE can tell for certain via an internet forum.  Take it in for repairs, like stevdart recomended.

My guess as well that you took out the output stage of the amplifier. You let the magic amplifier smoke escape and now it need to head for service.

where should i take it in, and how much do you think it might cost?

Take it back where you bought it, or to an authorized Rockford service center in your area.  Call them to find out who that might be.  480-967-3565
