I have a pioneer PEH-3400 in my 89' plymouth acclaim. I've had it for a while and it works well. today i installed a sub to it. we wired it and got it to work but when i try to put the head unit back in it wont slide in all the way. i think that the plougs in the back that run to the amp may but stopping it from going in all the way. is there any way to put my head unit in all the way or do i need new wires or hole in my car? and if anyone can help i wlso had to rig my amp so that it is always on because we couldn't find where the blue REM wire needed to go on the head unit because the blue wire on the head unit wasn't plugged in for some reason. Nay ideas on where that goes would help to. Thanks

Use your RED / white switched 12v wire for your remote. As far as the other wires in the back of your head unit, push your wires down the back to either the right or left side of the pocket. If you have to much rca pull some back and hide it under the carpet.

The idea with the remote wire might work but as for the rca wires the thing is is that the actual plug is about an inch or so long which sticks out far enough that I think comes out the back so far it makes the head unit to long to fit in anymore. theres only about a quarter of an inch of the head unit that i cant get in but when i take the rca off it fits in fine. Maybe there's a right angle rca or something I would need? That's the only thing i can think of.

Damn I was hoping I wouldn't need to spend more money. Oh well they can't costs that much. Thanks for all of the advice.

Hey you know they might just have the angled adaptor which should not be more than a couple bucks. It will save you time and money and from replacing the rca's.

I was just looking through my new Radio Shack catalog and I saw where they have both the cable that has the right angle on one end, and the right angle adapter. Good luck......
