Hello everyone. I have a 2004 Dodge Ram Quad cab that I am trying to install 12" woofers and an amp under the rear seat (existing Punch gear from another car), and found that the factory AM/FM/CD does not have low level outputs (or at least not RCA jacks). There is an unused connector on the back however, and there is a version of Ram called Laramie with an Infinity sound system which is amplified for sure.

Really don't want to buy another receiver since it already sounds really good. Does anyone know what that other connector on the back of the tuner is used for? Is there any way to take line level to speakers down to low level amplifier input??

Thanks.

You need a LOC (line output convertor). It "samples" a signal on the speaker leads and converts it to a signal that the amp can use (rca leads). Find one pair of speakers leads and tap into the + and - leads to get a signal for the LOC.
