RCA cables, amplifier power wires and speaker wires....is it important to go with brand name stuff or are wires just wires?

Wires are wires. As long as you have the correct gauge.

Go buy one of those 4G schose wiring kits at wal mart. The wire is as good as the more expensive stuff. The kit has everything you need for like $30. If you are really worried about sound quality, then get better RCA cables.

One more thing....with better RCA's, will I be able to hear the difference or is it more of a placebo effect?
