I have a wiring question. I have a 1000 watt amp and i was wondering what gauge would be best for it i'm trying to plug an amp and 2 speakers too it.

Is it 1000 Watts RMS or peak?  What is the amperage of the fuses in the amplifier?  Here's the guide.

Look at the amplifier.  What size fuse(s) are in it?

if its not a new amp the person you bought it from could of just stuck any fuse or did you just stick a extra zero in there?

wow a 15 amp fuse on a amp thats supposed to be 1000 watts.   hmmm have fun with your 150 watt rms amp....I would run now bigger then 4 guage

A single 15 amp fuse?  That is about a 100 watt amplifier, my friend.  Use a 20 amp main fuse at the battery and, oh, 10 gage power/ground wire.  Your speaker wire can be anythng you want to use.

What sort of subs will you be pushing with this amp? Dont expect much bass from that amp, pyramid is pretty much bottom of the barrel posted_image
