I just sold my jl 15's and will be putting my rf he12's (model rfp3812)in my Jeep. Need a few ideas as to how I should build my box. They need 1.25 cu.ft. air space for sealed. I am going for sq no spl here. What I want to know is what would be the best way. Should I just build it square or should I put an angle on it. The subs will be faceing towards the tail lights. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

square design should be good enough as long as the air space is correct. You can put angles on it if you want to be creative or different. Thats all up to you. Build it right and seal it tight.

I have always built to suit the space availible. but some people swear by the "golden ratio"   I have tried it and not been able to tell a diffrence    and never mic'ed one due to it being sealed    but the ratio is as follows
width =1
depth = .618 width
length = 1.618 width

You dont need 1.25 CuFt for those subs. I should know, I have one in the back of my car right now. The box its in is .89cuft and has no fiberfill or nothing like that in it. This creates a little better response IMO from what Fosgate's box spec's will give you. I decided to go with a smaller box because I blew 2 RFP3412's and my other 3812 in a 1.2 CuFt box because the woofers would over extend themselves and not properly disperse the heat. Anyway, thats my speal about the RFP3812's posted_image
