I am about to install two amps and speakers to work with the factory head unit. In my past experience, the only way you can get the head unit to control the amps was tapping the speaker wires. I was wondering if there were any module that allows you to get control of both amps or do I have to tap it twice?

you will have to use in-line converter taht goes connected to your rear speakers high input low frequency output  you may even get it on e-bay you can get the cheaper model that u have to run a separate remote line or spend a few more $$ just a few bucks and get the kind that have a built in remote line that only turns on when it sees a signal that way all u have to the front is a power wire from battery,i recommend at least a 4 Gauge if your powering up 2 Amps....Now as far as controlling both amp seperatly i would change the HU  and maybe add passive eq but if your staying stock you'll need rca splitters 1 male 2 females and your gonna need 2
