I just got my new 4 channel amp installed and hooked up to my type r 6x9s and phoenix gold 5.25's in the doors of my 2004 Alero. Everything is working fine, except that now I am getting a service vehicle soon light and my dash lights wont come on, I am not sure if it is related to the amp install or if it is just a coincidence, has anyone else had this happen to them? like i said it works great and is not blowing any fuses.

If your dash lights are not working it sounds like a fuse has blown. You need to check all the fuses. The service engine light has nothing to do with the install.

Where did you grab your remote turn on wire from?  How did you do the wireing for the power? ground?

They may sound like silly questions, but some people do some really STUPID stuff when installing amps.

replaced the factory deck, the problem was nothing at all to do with the install, i was going trhough every wire and found that a cut wire way up in the dash of the car, no idea how it would have happend, had to have had a little cut in it right from the factory and it just came lose (its an '04), i soldered it back together and everything is fine now (6 hours later)

i should have taken it to the dealer but they would have just blammed it on the amp probably anyways they like to do that.
