a little while ago i had to say goodbye to my two 12 inch JBL Gti's...after two years of me beating the heck out of them they decided to wreak of burnt coil...tested them and they were definitely bad...took them to a speaker repair shop...they couldn't do anything for me due to some wierd patent JBL has on the coil that they used on the Gti's...now I have a friend who wants to cut me a decent deal on two new soundstream tarantula's and I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about them...opinions or fact here...I am too emberassed to tell you what I slapped in as their substitute and I miss being able to go to McDonalds...get a fountain coke...role the windows up...and watch the pop come out the top of the straw...

the shop i used to work at just got them in like 2 weeks before i quit. i actually got to see these things perform and it really surprised me. with a good amp and box these things really pounded. i hate to admit it, but they even hit harder than my 12" L5 lol. Your best bet though is find a local dealer and go there and take a listen to them yourself.

thanks...but no local dealer for about 300 miles for soundstream:(
