I recently purchased my second clarion cd cassette combo to install on my 1997 Pathfinder LE...that came with a non-Bose CD player only.  Plugs are the same - except the newer CD cassette I am trying to get to work has the added telephone plug

All the functions work when I installed it....CD counter, play, cassette, FM radio, AM radio, etc..

Problem - no volume - sound comes out  - ANY ideas????

I assume since I don't have a Bose system that I could add the CD cassette combo -

Does the radio you're tryin to put in say "Bose" anywhere on it? Also look at the back of it. The non bose ones should have only 3 plugs plus the antenna in the back. If it has 4 then it's prbably an amplified model.

the one I have is non-bose, does not say bose anywhere

 - 3 plugs plus the antenna plug on the back

Thanks for asking - the 1st one I bought was a working pull , but thought it had been damaged so sold it on eBay and bought another from a regular car audio dealer to make sure it wasfully funstional - but the one I have now also has no sound either (same as 1st one I bought)
