What can anybody say about Adire audio's Brahma woofers,  and who makes the XXX woofer (link?)??

1.  SQ
2.  Reliability
3.  Where To buy
4.  SPL

Well I can say a lot, but I'm bias.  So I will try to keep my answer as unbias as possible.  The XXX is made by Resonant Engineering.  Here's their website: www.reaudio.com .

1.  It was designed to be the ultimate SQ driver.  It uses our patent pending XBL^2 motor to reduce nonlinearities in the motor, thereby reducing distortion.  So we will have less distortion at any output level compared to subs with standard motor topologies.

2.  Well let's just say that if it does break due to manufacturer defects, we will even reimburse you shipping when you send it back.  I'd say you shouldn't have to worry about it. posted_image

3.  You can find a list of our dealers here: https://www.adireaudio.com/TextPages/DealerListFrameText.htm

4. That depends on what you mean by SPL.  Check out the Brahma page of our website and you will see a link to a video of a guy breaking his door from his Brahma's (not window, door).

5.  The W7 utilizes a very ingenious modification of the standard overhung motor to reduce nonlinearities in their motor.  The two drivers should have very similar SQ capabilites.  From there, each has it's own advantages and disadvantages.

Ahhh....heres the man i need to talk to...

Im quite confused right now.

I was under the impression that the Brahma was a product of Adire.  But i was wrong?   Who makes the Brahma?

Also, which do you feel is the better woofer, for somebody who wants SQ, and the ability to hit high notes when wanted?

What kind of amplifier would you pair each up with?

You are correct.  The Brahma is made by us.  The XXX is what's made by Resonant Engineering.

How high do you want to go?  The Brahma can probably play the highest frequencies as it has the lowest inductance.  In fact I've heard a Brahma play a 15 kHz signal pretty loud.  But the cone used on all three have major break up issues when you get too high.  As for which is better, they are all incredible woofers and I think the intended install would dictate which would be the best choice.

There are so many amplifiers out there, I don't usually recomend a specific one.  Just look for one with the power you need, the features you will use, and is at a good price.  Also try to buy as good an amplifier as you can afford and I'm sure you will be fine.

I'm sorry, I made a mistake.  By high notes, I really meant the ability to hit hard.... I typed this when i was half-awake, and obviously got my words mixed up...

So now which is the better?
