i have been in the compitition scene for a while but im just curious how these are and yeah they are kinda old but a guy is giving me a hell of a deal for this.
Sony CDX-C90
i know that this is a heck of a great compitition deck but is it still great no matter how old they are and i know they stop making them. what are the other options as well? for a sound quality deck is what im looking for. nothing fancy at all just a plain high quality, high sounding deck!! just simple!!!
Look at decks from Nakamichi and Eclipse if you want sound quality.

New Project: 2003 Pathfinder
Thats a good sony deck.. any sony with the ES on it is audiophile grade..
All you want it to do is serve as a sound source then i would use it.. I would only use it with Power Amps
Robb

Hunter S. Thompson for sheriff
yes that would be the only sound source and i will be using 5 amps which are Phoenix Gold Titanium series. im not a big fan of A/V set up since i only want to listen to music and drive around thats all. dont get me wrong about those A/V, they are awsome but it is just not for me. im all about sound. thanks for the advice.
i did look into those eclipse but they look rather busy with all the controls ya know? plus they are not 24 bit burr brown like the sony deck since that is what i am looking for cuz of the importance of sound quality. by the way those cdx-cd90 is an ES series as well. i may look into those Nakamichi decks but there isnt anyone who sells them around here in my state since it is a small state!! CT that is.
