I have a 2004 Malibu Classic, that I want to install my Sony amplifier into and hook up to a pair of subs I have. It has the Factory CD. Can I just use a Line converter in the Trunk or do I have to use a Plug behind the radio?

Yeah you can hook it up in the trunk. Just tap into the rear speaker wires.
