Do these subs hit hard? What I mean about hard is if you listen to let's say Metallica will it be nice and tight sounding? Make you feel like someone is hitting you in the back of the head. I would be putting 1400watts RMS in a 1ohm load. Also what is the mounting depth of these subs?

The mounting depth is failrly deep around 7 or 8 inches I believe.   What amp are you going to use to power it?    1400rms is alot of power and it will handle it very well, the sound is incredibly clean of the top 2 lines on eclipse the 9100 series, or 7100 series

yes they hit very very hard....I dont have a exact mounting depth right now, I know the aluminums are 6.5 almost exact, so I would say 7 to 8 inches depth for sure

I ran some new 9000 series for awhile but not looking to run that much power plus I love running 4 subs, the look on peoples face when you have 4 beautiful 10's is great....We are running 2 10 inch 7100 series aluminums and hitting 144.7 on the lab just using RMS power only, We are yet to up over the rms rating to see what we do with all 4 in there

The titanium Eclipse subs pound, like a sledgehammer on your brain after a week long drinking binge. Power them properly, have the right box made and watch your poor little car vibrate to pieces.

Jeff, try a 147.7 with two sw8122 dvc in a sealed box power from an Xtant x series mono sub amp. With sq to boot.

I got one in one cubic foot, net, with the DA7232 running stereo to it. According to Eclipse this is about 2KWRMS, and this driver has never complained once. And I BEAT THE sh*tE out of this thing! Yep, they pound, and sound un-be-freaking-lievable too!

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Do you guys think I would be gaining anything from the Diamonds to the Eclipse's?   Doe's anyone have the mounting depth specs for Eclipse subs?

Oh yeah the reason I ask is the Diamonds power ratings are higher..
