I recently sent out my 1.5 year old Kenwood X959 head unit (still under warranty) for repair. After I got it back, it was still acting up so I sent it out again, and requested a replacement. They agreed and sent me a brand new X979, the X959's newer sister model. Anyway, I was wondering if I can still use the X959 harness that I have wired up in my car with my new X979 since they are equivalent models? Also, the reason for this is that I am the third owner of the car and there is barely much length left to the stock wires coming out of the wire loom and I wouldn't even have enough to cut of the old harness, and strip/crimp on the wires to the new harness. Any comments or suggestions?
Thanks

Yes. Kenwood hasen't changed their harness in a few years.
