I have a customer that has a late model Chevy 3/4 ton truck. He is having trouble getting some of the local am stations. I had read somewhere that if you put a taller antenna mast on the vehicle it would pick up am stations better. Has anyone run into this and if so how did you fix it? Thanks in advance.

Check the splice point on the passenger's front fender for corrosion. A complete antenna assembly with wire from GM will set you back all of $40, if not less.
