i  im trying to uinstall a jvc radio in a 2001 chevy tahoe  the radio powers up but wont make a sound

is it Bose system or not, if it is a bose system then that system is a common ground front channels and rear channels. You will need some interfacing like an XR4 made by soundgate to interface the H/U with the Bose amp. You will also need to do some wiring modifications(nothing major) to accomplish this. If you are using a Metra harness they are not pinned out properly to be a true plug and play harness.

      I installed an Alpine radio in my 2001 I get power, but no sound . The factory system was a delco,if you play around with the factory security sometimes the radio will play. I'm looking for a way to resolve this problem.
