im installing a amp and subs in my friends 01 eclipse and shes using the factory deck so she got the loc for the rca cables my question is what wire do i splice the remote wire into. where to run the amp turnon wire to. do i run it to the deck power or what first time ever hooking up on a factory deck and help would be great

Just tap into the ignition wire at the deck. That will do fine for your remote line

What you need is Accesory power (Key-On Key-Off) So to do this get a test light or a Digital Multi Meter...Unplug the factory wire harness and start testing wires...You Want the one that has no voltage when Key is off....And 12 volts when Key is on...

Once you find it get a wire splice Crimp and make your connection to it...Run a wire to your amps remote and you have it...

You can do the same thing in your fuse box just look for the accesory power and use a Fuse Tap (Get them at Radio Shack or auto parts store) Run the wire from fuse box back to the remote on amp and you are good to go...
