weird amp problem

2004 Nissan Armada, amp is mounted underneath the sub floor in rear.....audiobahn 12 bass tube.  I took the tube out to travel....Now when i go to put it back in, the sub starts hummin bad and moving all over the place.  If you move the speaker out of the vehicle it works fine.  Is there something that is causing interference with the amp from the speaker magnet?  Like I said, its weird....i can hold the sub outside the vehicle and it sounds fine...as i start motioning to put it inside the vehicle the humming starts and gets worse the closer you get to the amp.  Any help....is the amp fried.....any quik fixes?

That is one of the most interesting things I have heard in awhile,     try checking your polarity is about all I can say but thats extreamly weird yes I could see if the magnet was very close to the amp it could cause problems but from what you are saing its when you get anywhre close...sounds like your sub is pissed off that you took it out

Check out your connection from the amp to the sub. Mabye you have a poor speaker cable that is shorting as you bend it, ie putting the sub in, and then when you straiten the wire out when you move the sub out of the car it stops the short. Its a pretty thin but strange problems are generally cause by strange circumstances

its most lieky that you get interference because somewhere down the line there is a power wire crossing or close to your audio signal from the head unit. there wont be interference from the speaker being too close to the amp.

i guess it is extremely strange because nothing has changed....i simply took it out for the weekend....i guess you guys are right....the truck is pissed it was tweetin all weekend long.  checked power wires and ground, still doing the same thing...changed speaker wire and still the same prob........any other suggestions

did you check all the settings on the amp such as gains or bass and treble or x-over settings(if apply) ?  Just wondering if some of your cargo might have bumped or rubbed against the amp moving the buttons or knobs ?
