hey everyone. I have a 12w1-4 subwoofer that I will be installing into my girlfriend's car, I'm wondering if anyone has any special tips for using this sub? It wants a 1.5 cu. ft. enclosure when it's sealed and it will take 125 W RMS. What would be a good amp for this subwoofer to create good SQ? Thanks guys!

JL makes a 120ish amp i think.  Alpine, MTX and a couple others make some smaller mono amps and some two channel bridged amps.

If your going to upgrade your front speakers (as I asume you are if your going for a SQ set up) use this https://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLP804Z .  Good SQ, and features.  160rms for the sub and 40x2 for the front, you'll be rock'n.

or..

This if you want to drive the sub and thats all https://www.cardomain.com/item/JBLBP3001Z , a good amp that leaves you open for expansion.

JBL makes some sweet amps.  I'd go w/ that JL e1200 for a sub amp.
