I need help with an installation. Im installing a new headunit in my car, either the Panasonic "Ghost" (Panasonic CQ-DF802U), Sony CDX M630, or and Alpine CDA-7892. Im not sure what plugs these use, if they are 8-10-20 pins or if they use RCA plugs? I really need to know! Im looking at replacing the stock MACH460 headunit. Kinda crappy in my opinion. Please help as soon as possible!!!!!
If needed, my email is kylejt@mail.com
Thanks! - Kyle

if you have never done this system before you should take it to shop. you can replace hu with a factory harness. about 10 bucks or so. and it is better you rewire all the speakers cause the internal amps suck and you best bet is to elimintate them.

I've got an '02 6 banger that I changed the 460 system in.  djfearny2 is right, bypass the entire 460 system if you're able.  The 3 amps aren't that great, the wireing is horrific, and the system is nothing but 4 6x8's and 4 2" tweeters.

Changing only the headunit will require installing Output Level Converters (Scosche makes them).  There are 3 factory amps that have specific input requirements that the Output Level Converters allow you to adjust.  https://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-nAF9dtIh9iK/ProdView.asp?s=0&c=11&g=751&I=142CFDK6++

You are also going to need a DIN converter.  The stock 460 HU is a dual DIN, where as most aftermarket HU's are single DIN.  The one I found has a small storage area above the HU.  Can't put much in there, maybe 2 small CD cases, but it looks good.
