im trying to install an amp and 12 in sub with a stock head unit. I bought a line output converter but im not sure how to install it. It shows to install it right at the head unit but i was wondering if its ok to install it in the trunk. Could i hook it up to the factory sub instead of the speakers?

yes you can hook it up in the trunk and yes you can hook it up at the sub but make sure your sub figueing as it is powered that it does not exceed the input on the converter
