I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice... I have an orion 800.4 amp that I had hooked up to my diamond components and all of a sudden everything cut off and the amp was smoking, as you could imagine I was too happy, I haven't had it looked at yet by a pro, but there was a little liquid seeping out the bottom of the amp. Does anyone have an idea of what's wrong, plus where would be a good place to take it to get fixed, I live near austin texas. Or does anyone here fix amps, just curious. Someone down here told me they thought it might be the powersupply, but I haven't a  clue. THanks

hmmmm liquid seeping,    blown caps maybe,    do you have a leaky trunk?    I si a install for a guy about a month and everything was fine, till it rained. then he bothered to tell me his trunk leaked horibly, and thinks he got water in the amp...as far as fixing it if it was smoking    good luck..

Electronics work on smoke, when you let it out they quit working

if its smoking, might be not enough current capacity in the ground cable.. that happened to mine, on the amp it started smoking when it was bumpin, but the liquid, i dunno, possibly what the guy above me said, send it away for chemical analysis, ahha, John Grisham down at CSI will tell you what it is real quick, haha

i would send it to orion to have it checked out and repaired if i were you. i've had several of their products over the years, and sent some in for repair before. if you take it to a shop, it might nullify your warranty. all of orion products are handled by dei now as far as i know.
