Subject: Headunit doesn’t turn on??

I have a JVC KD-SHX701 headunit, i have wired it to my honda civic and when i plug it in, the headunit lights up just like initialising and switched off by itself.  Everything looks normal by now, then i pressed the eject button, the face panel slides down and i am able to load or remove CD.

But the problem is when i press the power button, it doesn't turn on at all. Only the eject button work, nothing else.

Anyone have any idea how to solve this? Please help me out.

Thanks heaps

Tony

Sounds like a power issue which could only be one of a couple of wires. I would get out the multi meter or a 12v test light and check the switched 12v wire and the constant memory wire and maybe even the illumination wire. If everything checks out , thyen maybe theres problems with the unit itself. Is there a reset button somewhere behind the fold down face maybe needs to be reset?

Thanks for all your reply

I have solved this problem.  The cause is I wired the yellow to the ign and red to one of the speaker cables posted_image
