I recently got a Pheonix Gold Xmax12 (SVC 4ohm) from a trade. I put it in a 1.15ft^2 enclosure ported at 41hz (a tech from PG told me to do this through e-mail).

The sub is rated at 500watts RMS ... right now i'm pushing 360 watts from my Rockford fosgate 360.2. I have the chace now to get an Avionixx AXT800.2 for a good price. This amp is 800watts RMS at 4ohms.

Would the AXT800.2 push too much for my Xmax to handle?

or do you tink it will pound like a mother.

So this sub i am looking for mainly SPL ... but it will be a daily driver.

That sub will likely handle 800 watts, but I wouldn't advise it. Just turn the gain down on the amp and you should be fine.

BTW, it you want to know more about PG products, ask your questions here https://soundoff.phoenixgold.com

o yea ... i found that forum earlier and forgot about it. And yes, i was planning on running the gasins rather low. I'll just set them like i normally do.
