I have two 12 inch Eclipse subs at 450 watts rms each. I have been considering the 1200.1 amp for my subs. Is there a nice amp at a cheap price that will give me 900 rms. I don't want to have to be concerned about damaging my speakers.

No prob, just trying to help you make the best decision so you will be happy in the end.  I have made all the mistakes myself, and learned from them the expensive way.  Doing it right the first time, saves money in the end if an upgrade were to come along.

I wouldn't worry about missing 900 by 100 or so one way or the other. It will make little to no difference in your volume or sound quality. If you need to buy an 600-800 watt quality (more expensive amplifier) amp instead of a cheap 900 watt amplifier, do it. You want something that will last and has low noise / distortion levels.

What ohms are the subs? That will help us to give you an idea for a good amp to match them.

Hey, sorry dude. I didn't mean anything personal by that. It's all in what your ear likes. If you like the sound of the Pioneers, then great. I try not to dis anyone's equpment, but I've got a personal grudge against Pioneer.  Every one I have owned has let me down, but that's me. But I'll be willing to bet that when he gets that JBL and if he has it all set up right, that you'll secretly wish that you hadn't traded (even if you won't tell him that!). Anyways, good luck and hope it all works great for ya'!

Well, actually I traded my brother two Eclipse for four Pioneers and a 1300 watt soundstorm amp. I've had this same exact setup in my car before, and it was the loudest system I have ever had. He gets the two, better, louder speakers, I get the four, very loud speakers, with amp, so I don't have to buy an amp and I'm closer to getting my system hooked up. I think we both came out of the deal pretty good.
