wallmart works on a buy bulk basis with manufactures, not saying  thier bad, but youre getting what pioneer has a lot  of. as for r they good in tubes? check specks and get back. personally , not a fan of tubes , and i think u r prob talking about those 10's that they sell . just dont trust  them too much. but they have an easy return policy if you want to try

I would stay away from any of the car stereo equipment at wal-mart, k-mart and stores of that nature. It is a cheaper line of products than you can get from a stereo shop, or at least a reputable shop. Like they all say, you get what you pay for.

If you want a cheap subwoofer for under $75 check out a dayton sub from partsexpress.com.  I think I've seen some good ones there for $60ish.

I hope you only meant "cheap" in terms of money. In terms of quality, most of their stuff is just fine. I will admit that their subs are not that good, but they will do what they're supposed to do.

I like getting 12 guage speaker wire from Walmart. It's ~$10 for 50ft. That's really cheap. Now, there are some people that like Monster cable and all that "high end" crap, but hey, it's their money, let them waste it how they want. It has been proven that therer is NO audible difference between expensive and "cheap" speaker wire.

Well... actually there is.  It's got some extremely minor effects.  But that's only in some top of the line $50,000 systems.  Did you guys see the tripods for the speaker wires?  Prevents static electricity interferance?  Oh man...  But yeah if you're running a normal system then wal-mart's good for that.  It's what power cables are in my car right now.

For the money you can go to a wholesale website and get something a lot better  then the pioneer subs. and don't use the wiring from wal-mart its crap. its made by Jensen. Buy Stinger, or Monster wiring for your best power and sound quality. STAY AWAY FROM WAL-MART FOR CAR AUDIO there is a lot of good stuff out there from reasonalbe pricing.

DO it right, Don't use SONY

Jensen wiring??  Every Wal Mart ive been in has Schoshe wiring.  If you buy expensive stinger or monster cable kits, or the cheeper wal mart kits their will be NO AUDIBLE DIFFERANCE!  If you are really worried about SQ get more expensive RCA cables becasue THAT makes a differance, .

Hawaiiboi,

If you are looking for a good sub for less than $75 I would recommend a rockford fosgate punch series 1 sub.  Rockford is notorious for giving you the most amount of bass for the money.

I would recommend shopping at your local car audio shop for this gear and not Wal-mart.  You will encounter more knowledgeable employees who will be able to help you properly build your system. Also, if you get good gear that is on sale, you will get better gear than regular priced stuff at wal-mart.

They have wal-marts in hawaii?

Yeah the rca cables make a difference.  Power wire don't make any noticable difference in sound (a sound machine might be able to detect it).  Oh and don't run a power/ground next to the rca (best buy likes to do that).  Yeah the walmart kit I've got is a Schoshe.  Alls those kits do is provide power to the amp.  If you hook the rca up then maybe get a better rca but other than that nothing will do a whole lot other than a new amp/sub/hu.
