Hi,
Why is "Monoblock" amp better then "multi-channel" amp?
I always hear ppl said get a Mono for u r running subs, but never understand why!

Cheers :)

Because In general mono amps have the ability to produce more power than a multi, I like the alpine MRD-1001, But for massive amounts of power audiobahn works too

um.......watch out for those Audiobreaks.........I mean Bahn. A monoblock amp simply takes a left and right channel sub output and combines the two to one single sub frequency channel . These monoblock amps are usually desingned to boost or amplify only the lower sub frequencies therefor making them more efficient for that purpose. Multi-channel amps usually are more flexible and can amplify a seperate left and right channel and even front and rear for a 4 chanel amp. The difference is most multi-channel amps are designed to amplify the full musical spectrum for different speakers in different aplications. I hope this helps and not hurt.

Audiobreak....lol.... Yeah they are "loud" and "powerful" but unfortunately all the sound quality is now bling bling chrome and flames.  Monoblocks tend to run a little more on the wallet but if you're on a tight budget a good 2 channel amp with a low pass crossover, and maybe a bass boost, will be good.

Nooooooo, not the bass boost... Don't use that crap it just makes your amp clip and results in distortion and blown subs.
