Hello all

i have a 2004 honda element, with Eclipse avn2454 right now and OEM 6.5's all around.

I am going to be upgrading the whole audio system in a few weeks but need to know what you guys would recommend

My "idea" was

Component 6.5's up front  * possibly infiniti *

Coax 6.5's rear  * any decent brand *

JL Stealthbox sub enclosure up front

and 5 channel amp powering the whole kit and caboodle

could anyone recommend any good brands for the above OR if you have a BETTER idea please feel free to chime in

I mostly listen to Hip hop R&B etc etc

but i'm 25yrs old and work on wall st so i dont need to shake H.S's or impress kids on the corner... just want a NICE audio experience

Thanks in advance

- Mike

5 channel amplifier like the Eclipse PA5432 would be a very nice start or the Crossfire VR705D is another stellar amp. For speakers I am a big believer in whatever the other guys say is the best .....right, got a little carried away there. You need to listen to your speakers and buy the ones that sound best to your ears. To my ears, I like MB Quart and Focal. I would also recommend a close tone / timbre match as well. This means try to keep it to the same brand of speakers. A coax for the rear and component up front is the way to go.

well the shop that did my AVN is oging to be doing the rest of the work

the shop recommended JL interiors

and my friend who is an installer said NOT to get components but to look into some "bostons" and amplify those

I'm not an audio savant  lol as u can tell
