I am looking in installing an line level converter into a 2000 pontiac grand prix . i wanted to know the best place to tap into the speaker outputs because i know the bose amp filters response to each speaker differently inturn not providing a full range . ANY IDEAS

You need to use an active LOC that can handle the low level differential outputs of the receiver, there are several companies that make these, i am please with the Soundgate LOCB.2. It will give you 2.5 volts RMS out no matter the input voltage, just get it as close to the back of the radio as possible to decrease the chance of noise entering the system
