I am trying to find a mounting kit to install a head unit in a 1988 Jaguar xj6. Anyone have any idea where I can find one? Also, and tips on working with this car greatly appreciated, thanks.

very few, if any jags have wire harnesses (i cant find them), so a hardwire or running new wire might be necessery but if you look hard enough maybe you can find some info.  as far as the dash kit goes, i have never been able to find one, and i have looked for the same car but a '90 (they are the same) and i just ended up using ABS and some creativity to make my own.  you can also use a din trim ring that you can buy at a place like best buy for $10-11 and secure it to the dash bezel and pop your sleeve and deck in.  i always write down the wire code or whatever i had to do to get the job done and make everything work properly and i'll try to find it for you.

I have no problem at all with hardwiring the radio. I just wish I could find a mounting kit. As for the abs, I thought about that, but the radio has a curve to it that looks rather difficult to reproduce.
