I recently fried my amp. (30 min. ago) and well i kinda think it was my subs they are 12'' Diamond subs which i have had for like 3 months and i'm also beggining to think that's it could have been my cd player, so tomm. i'm gonna go to the store that i bought them from and tell them that their s*** didn't work and to give me my money back or everything new....my cd player is a fairly new Alpine prolly like 6 months old and my Subs. are pretty much new too like 3 months and those 2 have warranty but my amp. which is prolly like 2-3 years old...(V12 Alpine, 1500 amp) which i didnt' buy at that retailer is the one that got screwed so my question is do u think they will replace my amp., speakers and subs, give me my money back or just replace the cd player , and subwoofer which are in warrenty........and if they do give me my money back what do you recommend me buy?...($1,500 or so)

Thax.

There is no way they will replace the amp and will probally not return the deck or speakers being they are older than 30 days, which is generally the return policy on electronics. If you can prove without a shadow of a doubt that they deck or subs caused the amp to blow then they should replace it but I dont see how you are going to prove that. What exactly happened when your amp fried. Did it start smoking, did it just turn off or what. Were you playing it really loud when it happened or just normal, who installed all this equipment, who set the amp, is the wiring all correct size and grade. All this information is important but I would probally guess that you are going to be left buying a new amp and not returning the other gear

Well, i went to the place where i bout my stuff, because one of my subs was acting strange and it was bumping at a diff. level than the other one and they told me to just blow the sh*t out of it so well i didn't really pay atten. to what happend to my subs. after that since i got that approval to "pop" them since i have a 4 yr. warranty on them according to the store and well when my amp. "fried" i was playing it around normal......so my other question is, by them saying to blow the sh*t out of them and them checking it out and such does that mean that they should give me back my money or give me new gear?

why?
he just outright said "oh yeh, the subs when they hit at different times, it just means you gotta crank the volume, and put more power to the sub that isnt hitting right...

when did the subs' timing come into affect? how many days after purchasing the subs? and are your gains set accurately?

Please don't take this as a personal attack, but if equipment is not installed properly than there is a very

good chance of something breaking. Most shops will not replace equipment they did not install/sell unless

said equipment is defective.

Well, i tested them cuz a friend had a Mhz. tester cd or whatever and that's where i found that out, and well everything was connected right cuz he checked it all out and well this happend like 3 months after purchasing the subs...

anything not installed by us.   You are pretty much on your own unless I look things over and realize it is a manufacture fault.    But 9 out of 10 times its inexperienced installers trying to save a buck and to stubborn to ask for help or pay for it at that....im sorry dosent help your spot, but I install amps purchased through myself for $25 if you cant afford that then your spending to much on your amp or better know what your doing
