I am very interested in going to an installer school (like Syntech) after i get out of high school, and hope to become a professional installer. My question is, for all of you installation professionals, which school would be the best one to go to? Since i dont know what its like to be a professional installer, i dont really know what to look for from a school of this nature. Also, if any of you dont mind, i would like to know about how much money i could expect to earn yearly (im not in it for the money, i absolutely love car audio, i would just like to know) Anyone with any knowledge about any of these topics would be greatly appreciated.

As far as schools go Mobile Dynamics is one of the top schools I know of. I think there is one in Pheniox and one in Toronto. As far as money goes it depends on who you work for. I for example work for a big box and only make about 24,000 a year where as I have friends who are at the same skill level as me but work for smaller companies and they make double what I do. It all depends on if you get set up on an hourly wage or a commision structure. On commision if the shop you work at is busy then you will make pretty good money but when there buisness is slow then your checks shrink substantially. When you get paid hourly there is less preasure on you and you always no how much you will make but it is usually quite a bit less then a commision worker at a busy time. BTW, reviews are almost always bought and I wouldnt throw to much wieght behind what magazines say about subwoofers. Always go by your ear
