First off If I had 2 12's or 1 15 and all three subs were the same make and model than the 2 twelves would be louder. Second off, I had a boss sub like 4 years ago and basically it didnt sound very good but was pretty loud for being a 125 dollar sub. Overall though I wouldnt recomend them because they are basically crap

Umm... Boss is generally not the highest quality stuff, but if it sounds good to you, then by all means get it.
As for 15" subs, cone area is not the only factor of which can produce louder, and lower notes. A 12" with a long x-max will play lower and louder than a 15" with a short x-max.
But all else being equal, generally 15's are louder and lower than 12's.

NO. "better for bass" ?? If you mean hit harder and generally play lower, yes. For sound quality, no. Although with BOSS, I would not worry about sound quality. On another note, I have seen 2 tens have more impact and sound better in every respect then 2 low-quality 15's. My advice: Build your system slowly. One quality piece at a time. Shop the closeouts at places like sounddomain. Only buy from authorized dealers. Buy your components with upgrades in mind. Ex-buy a 2 ohm stable amp, get 1 4 ohm sub that matches the rms of the amp, later, buy another (identical) subwoofer and wire it in series down to 2ohms. What kind of deal are you looking at on this equipment? Post links if you can so we can see, you can do better then boss. ------------- What will you get for Christmas, bad boy? I would not recommend any of the boss products. I had a boss sub i bought used for like $30, it blew in like ten minutes, with not even many watts running to it. Boss=crap!!

You found a shop that sells these? Listen to them in the store so you can decide what you like best.

I have heard boss and they are ok for the money, but not the best bang for the buck. Go JBL if you want good sound and loudness for not much money, compared to other subs.
