Hello All,

I recently bought a Power Acoustik LT720 amp, it says it has hi and low inputs, but I only see the RCA connection, on my RF amp it had speaker terminals for the high inputs. Do I just use the RCA's for both?

Also, what I want to do is this, I had it all installed and working with a kenwood deck, but it died, so now I want to put the stock deck back in the car and use the amp and new speakers with it. I already have 2 RCAs ran to the back, could I use these for my high level input our are the wires to small?

also, if I was just to bypass the amp until I get enough money to buy a better deck, would it be ok to hook the factory deck right up to the rear 6x9's that are 4ohms, the originals where 8 ohms. It's a 2004 Oldsmobile Alero.

If you want to connect your amp to factory radio using rca's you need to buy an LOC (line out convertor).

that's not what i'm asking.... My amp states that it has a high level input, so I dont need that convertor, but it does not have inputs for a wire, it just has RCA's, do I use those RCA's as a high level input? Or are they lying to me about the amp having a high level input...

Ok did a search om that model. Are you refering to the hi pass lo pass crossovers? According to the specs it only has rca outputs.

it says right on the box, "high level and low level inputs"  but it does only have RCA inputs, which is why I am so confused...

It has the RCA outputs like you mentioned but thats for connection to another amp, I am talking about the inputs, sorry if I was confusing.

When someone refers to "high level" inputs, it usually refers to speaker level inputs...i.e. where you run your speaker wire to from the head unit. When "low level" inputs are mentioned, its referring to RCA inputs. Check for a Molex-like plug on the same side as your "low level" RCA inputs. You should be able to run the speaker wire from your head unit there.

If your factory head unit has RCA's coming out of the back of it, use those. Otherwise you would need a Line Out Converter, as Furflier suggested, to convert "high level" input signals to "low level" ones.
