Yes, they would be much louder. The highs will be better and your music will be more detailed.

Well, do you also want other channels amped? If so then get more channels. A single component side, using the passive crossovers, is only 1 channel.

The simple answer is no. You don't need a 4-channel amp. An amp will make a HUGE difference. I know memphis makes a really nice 75x2 amp. This would be great.

I wouldn't go any higher, and remember to turn the high pass crossover on. That memphis set is only rated at 50w rms.

I have 4 door speakers. I need to know if i should replace the 2 front ones with memphis 2 ways and leave the back 2 alone or replace all 4 speakers with memphis. Also if i get an amp for the door speakers should i power all 4 door speakers off the amp or power the 2 front ones and have the head unit power the 2 back ones. What channel amp would i need to power all 4 door speakers and what channel amp for just 2 door speakers. Thankyou

2 channel for 2 speakers.
4 channel for 4 speakers.

2=2, 4=4 :-)

Ideally you'd want to amp them all.

However, I think if you have limited funds you should spend as much as possible on the front speakers. You'll hear 90% of the music from the front two speakers.
