i recently installed a system in my 92 camry and didn't see a wire to connect the remote wire to my radio. i did see a blue wire from the wiring harness that looped back into the wiring harness. is this the wire that it is supposed to be connected to ? what should i do?

If not, then use your 12 volt switched(ignition) which is Gray.

just try one at a time.. try the blue first.. it should work. If this is NOT a stock radio, you can tie into the red wire which should be ignition.

Are you using a stock head unit, or aftermarket? I just spliced the remote for my amps into the remote that turns my head unit on. I have 3 amps & an EQ all spliced together. I know it's not right, you're supposed to use a relay, but I haven't had time to install one yet, & it's worked fine for a few years now.

I hope your doing the right thing:  Remote wire should hook up from the amp to the blue wire of the aftermarket radio.

Power from the amp should be run from the amp to the battery. Make sure it is fused.

Ground should be coming out the amp to the chassi of the vehicle.

You should have 3 wires from the amp/s in order to turn on.

Rca wires should just plug in from the amp to the aftermarket radio.

i have the rca wires connected at both ends and the remote wire connected to the amp but when i spliced the remote wire into the ignition wire, nothing happened. is that where it should go?

you can go there.. its suppose to turn on when you turn the ignition then.  Make sure that the amp is getting good ground and constant. Use a tester.
