Can I use these to wire 2 amps as output and using the 4 gauge side to the battery. My amps are 200 watts each. Someone has needed to use 4guage power cable to ground EACH of my amps. Is this true?

no you dont need 4 guage power cable to ground your amps but it dosn't hert the apms to use 4 guage. and yes you can use the distribution block to run one power cable to the block and then two power cables out to each amp

If you use 4 awg to power,use 4awg to ground!

you always use the same size ground wire as your power wire

The way I have seen most done is:

4ga (from battery with inline fuse) into a fused distribution/ 8ga out to amps

4ga (from a grounding point) into a non-fused distribution/ 8ga out to amps

1. Are you telling me I should use a Distubution Block for my grounds as well? I thought I could ground each amp individually. Should the amps have a common grounding point.

2. If the distribution block has a 20amp and a 30amp fuse. The inline fuse to the battery should be 50amps, correct?

I will be using this fused distribution box. It's two 8 gauge in and one 4 gauge out.

This is what I think I will be doing.

1. Use the Dis block to connect(8 gauge) and power amps(4 gauge).

2. Ground each amp individually with 4 gauge cable.

Would this be okay?

No you want the bigger gauge at the battery, 4ga to battery, 8ga to amps.

The distribution block you are looking at is 1-4gauge in and 2-8gauge out.

Run 4 guage from your battery to the distribution block and 8 gauge from the distribution to the amps.

The inline fuse on the 4 guage does not have to match the fuse sizes in the distribution. Its primary job is to protect your vehicle not protect the amps. Thats what the fuses on the amp and fused distribution are for. Your amps are not going to pull 50 amps. the fuses are just for precaution measures.

And you can run 2-8 guage grounds. 1 for each amp. However, if you are going to run 4 gauge power wire from the battery to a distribution and 8 guage to the amps, I would run a 4 guage ground to a distribution and 8 guage to the amps. Thats my .02
