I just installed an aftermarket head unit and everything works fine except for a hiss heard from all speakers.  I was told that my car has an amp in it that I would need to bypass because of the difference in voltage between the amp and the head unit.  Does anyone know how to do this?

well the easiest way is to run new speaker wire from each speakert o the back of the headunit. that will completely bypass the internal amp and you should be fine , this is easy.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
