I recently purchased a 2004 Highlander, which came with a 6-speaker Fujitsu-10 audio system.  The Receiver has AM/FM Cassette and a single CD player.  There is no amplifier or special controls, etc.  Your basic system.  The problem is that I acquired a Panasonic AM/FM Cassette 6-CD changer made for Toyota (very inexpensive) that was designed for the JBL sound system.  I don't have that, so I was wondering if this Panasonic Unit (86120-48430) will drive the existing speakers without adding the Amplifier?  The cabling isn't quite right, but I can get around that if I know the Radio will drive the existing speakers.  I have tried to get information from Toyota and Panasonic, but they aren't cooperative.

as far as i can tell you will not be able to do that, all 04' toyota JBL systems are amplified and use a digital turn on. If it is an older panosonic radio out of an older toyota it will still need the external factory amp.
