Hello,

Can someone give me some ideas on installing aftermarket speakers into the factory 911 locations?  The previous owner already did an aftermarket amp, and I have added a sub amp and 2 JL 10W6's. (Was anyone really gonna fit in the back seat anyway?)  The system sounds good, but lacks mid bass.  I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has any info on building custom door enclosures for 8" mid-woofers up front or maybe fitting 5.25" or larger in the factory 4" locations.  Any ideas are appreciated!!

Thanks!

8" subs require quite a bit of fiberglassing and basically a new lower door panel. We put 8" subs into our Integra that had 5 1/4" OEM speakers in the doors and needed to do some cutting of the door and also the door panel. If your not comfortable with using fiberglass, I would leave this to the professionals.

Instead of 8" subs, have you considered a component system? This would probably sound the best.
