My main question is with these Sealed & Ported boxes, if I am looking for a sealed only box, do you loose sound quality or any structural integrity because there is a removable piece to make it ported? I think having the idea of a solid MDF box is a little better then having a box with a hole in it but plugged with a piece of plastic.
I am trying to find a sub box which would match my setup & car the best. I have been trying to find a Trapezoid type box shape, one with angles on both sides. My easiest option is the Q-Logic QLH-1.2512SE, it has pretty much all the specs I am looking for, I can get it locally, and at a good price. I am trying to find a single 12" driver sealed box with cubic feet of 1.25 or greater and MDF thickness of 5/8" or thicker. Q-logic sounds like a reputable company but like stated above I question the integrity of having a hole with a plastic plug in it. If anyone has used or has any comments about these boxes it would be appreciated. I am also open to any other box manufactures if they fall within the specs I was looking for. I have included a picture of the Q-Logic box below for reference.

Thanks,
Chris
Best bet is to build your own, but most aren't up to it. You should be able to find a box that fits those specs without having to deal with plugging a port.

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.
i was reading a post earlier about a guy paying a local carpenter to build the box and thought it was a pretty good idea. design the box to your needs and let a pro craftsman build a near flawless box. though i still prefer to go through sheets of mdf for a tiny 1ft^3 box and admit silicone and epoxy are my best friends. anyways, look around for a young contractor in your area, should be much less expensive for much better quality.
