I have two pioneer 12" subs pushed by a bazooka amp, running from a Pioneer head unit.  I have had no problems with the system until I relocated the amp off of the box.  Now, whenever I turn on the car the subs just continually hit unless I plug the RCA cables into the Rear Output of the head unit.  However, with them plugged into the rear output instead of the SW output I cannot control the subs with the head unit subwoofer control functions i.e. turning them on and off, their range, etc.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Did you plug them into the rear, then plug them back into the sub-pre out, you may have just had a bad connection.

Tried it several times.  Don't know if its the cables or what.

Don't know if it helps but when the cables are plugged into the rear the light on the amp is green and then when i plug them into the preout the light turns red?!?!?!

sounds like something is wrong with the head unit, you didnt have the head unit on while you were moving cables by chance did you?
