Hello - i am putting in a system in an s-10 extended cab.  I am having a box built for 2 10's firing down.  My question is this....I want make a top partition in the box to mount one set of alpine type-x 6.5" components WITH  the additional 6.5 midbass kit in the top of the box facing up (so 2- 6.5's. and one tweeter on each side)  How big should the enclosure be for each 6.5?  Is it necessary to have the 6.5's on each side in separate enclosures or can they share a "box" on each side? What size should the enclosure be for these midbass woofers? I have the TS parameters for the woofers but I do not have a formula to figure internal volume requirements.  I appreciate any input.

Kris

Check out WinISD here: https://www.linearteam.dk/

It is probably the best to place the 6.5" woofers in separate enclosures.

However, is this going to be behind you? I think a much more worthwhile exercise in the name of sound quality would be to put the components in kick panels and the 6.5" add on in the door.

Well, for the best sound I would use the midbass kit with my main speakers. Then I'd use attenuate the rear 6.5" set until it just provides the right amount of fill. For sound quality most of the sound stage should come from the stereo front.
