Anyone had any experience with the new infinity reference amps? I have the jbl bp 600.1 to power my brahma with for right now, thing is going to need to run it at 1ohm. And well i would rather not put so much stress on a daily driver amp. So i was thinking of after i have my whole system bought and in, I would start saving for the 1210a infinity amp. 850W @ 4ohms and 1300w @ 2ohms 500$
1210A

I have not heard much good about infinity amps. Not really up to par to their subs and speakers, or so ive heard. I just got a bp 600.1. Its stable at 1ohm, and you should have no problem running it at that, it wont hurt the amp any.

I have never liked infinity amps. They blow way to easy. I have had very bad experiences with them, as well as many others. Check out some reviews on them at www.carreview.com and www.epinions.com and you'll see what i mean. JBL is a far better amp for the money, and the 600.1 is fantastic ~ highly recommended.

FYI, the new line of Infinity "Reference" amps are made in the same factory as is JBL.

Indeed. as they are both CEA rated as well. One is clearly better than the other though, just by ear. SQ is better, as well as SPL. JBL = great performance for little money.

The JBL Will totally be able to handle it, I would not be worried about that, I have had some great personal experience with that (although, it was a 1200.1)

I agree, the JBL would be a far better choice.

I have not heard anything about infinity amps, but usually JBL amps get some praise. I can't compare my Infinity sub to their amps because they aren't the same type of product. So I'd say JBL it up
