Ok i have a '89 acura Teg, Im puttin it on tha road because its a stick and theyre fun!

but anyways, it had an old Clarion HU in it, it wasnt factory but it was an old cassette/det. face..

now that radio worked fine and when i took it out to put in my cd player, i saw that they had cut all the wires and hooked it up instead of buying the adapter. Now i jus did the best way possible, i unhooked every wire one by one off the old harness and re-hooked them with my new cd player harness.. now the radio works and all but the only problem is that i cant get it to stay in memory (radio channels always reset, as well as settings)...now i looked in your wire diagram and the old one had been hooked up properly with all the colors correct. now both the 12v wires are hooked up to the right colors but i cant get the settings and stations and stuff to stay when i turn the car off/on...any suggestions???

grab a meter  and meter both the 12 volt source wires for voltage ( switched and unswitched)  do you have 12 volts on the unswitched constant wire??  if not, check your fuses......
